The Informant - Matt Damon gives an unbelievable performance, unbelievably boring! We all know Matt is a great actor and have come to expect at a minimum, a good movie from him. This movie was a true let down not only that he was not fun to watch but that he even accepted the script. I have read some other reviews and viewer reviews and I guess some people liked it or were paid big bucks to say good things. The economy is tight so if you get offered a few bucks, go ahead and take it, we will know the truth and just give each other wink as you flash the cash.
It was only Matt's fault that he accepted this role. I feel as if he played the part as the director, Steven Soderbergh, intended him too. At the beginning of the movie, there was a disclaimer to let us all know that this is based on a true story and some facts have been altered to dramatize the movie. Steven may have considered altering a lot more if he wanted to keep up with the genre they chose for this movie, "Thriller". Steven has directed great movies such as Ocean's 11, 12, 13 and Erin Brockovich. I wouldn't give up on Steven or Matt as of yet but the next project they work on better be amazing to make up for wasting this hour and 48 minutes of my life.
